Freely Moveable Joints is an advanced level Zero Balancing course that expands the focus of Zero Balancing from the foundation and semi-foundation joints of the body to include the “freely moveable joints” of the body. Zero Balancing principles and techniques are taken beyond the Core Zero Balancing protocol into other arenas. The freely moveable joints present unique therapeutic challenges because of the variety of their anatomy and their great ranges of motion. By the end of the program you will have the skills to evaluate and balance freely moveable joints and the knowledge to devise your own fulcrums to meet the specific needs of a given situation. * The Core curriculum of Zero Balancing I and Zero Balancing II are prerequisites for this advanced class.

Zero Balancing is a leading edge healing modality. It was formed by Dr. Frederick Fritz Smith. Dr. Smith was an osteopath and an acupunturist. Zero Balancing is an East meets West hands-on approach to bodymindspirit balancing. There are a number of unique hallmarks of Zero Balancing.

Zero Balancing balances a person’s energy with their structure, in this way contacting and balancing the whole person. A practitioner is taught to work with energy in a practical and tangible way. The type of touch taught is called interface. Interface defines where each person stops and starts, enabling a remarkably clear and safe touch for both recipient and practitioner. Built into Zero Balancing is a protocol that includes both assessment and balancing at each key area of work. This insures the efficacy of the session, as well as maintaining a conscious physical dialogue between the practitioner and the recipient. Balancing is done predominantly at foundation joints and at the bone level. A small change made at a foundation joint has a wide reaching affect through the entire bodymindspirit, while releasing tension at the level of the bone creates a depth of contact that induces far reaching physical, mental-emotional and spiritual transformations.

As a practitioner myself, Zero Balancing is the modality that I use most frequently to help people. It alleviates acute and chronic pain, while it creates an expanded state of consciousness in which transformation and life change occurs.

Zero Balancing is an advanced healing modality. Certification is available to practitioners who hold another license in health care, while anyone is welcome to take these Core classes. The foundation training is Zero Balancing I and Zero Balancing II. Both of these are twenty- five hours long, and they are taught in a four day format. It is recommended that

Zero Balancing II be taken two to six months after Zero Balancing I.

This is the first course of the Core Zero Balancing curriculum and introduces the intellectual and practical framework of the art and science of Zero Balancing. Core Zero Balancing teaches students to work with body structure and body energy along with a unique approach to skilled touch called Interface Touch. Students learn a 30 to 40-minute Zero Balancing protocol that allow beginners to offer Zero Balancing sessions to healthy individuals in keeping with their skills, expertise, and scope of practice.

This class is the second half of the Core Zero Balancing program in which students review the material from ZB I while learning new fulcrums and expanding their understanding of how and why Zero Balancing is so effective. ZB II is highly recommended for all ZB practitioners who have not taken a ZB course in a while as it includes the most up-to-date methods for performing Zero Balancing.

This class offers a rare opportunity for lay people to learn the principles of the profound healing modality, Zero Balancing. This class is offered in a one and a half to three hour structure. It is a time to define energy, energy boundaries, and conscious deep contact with oneself, others and life. Your group may choose to be taught a simple two-minute bodywork sequence, while it is also wonderful to have a demonstration of a full Zero Balancing session.

Kids are introduced to energy and to the fact that they have choose about how they feel in their bodies and in relationship to each other. We use meditations, exercises, group discussions, drawing and writing for the older kids. All of these activities are done in a spirit of curiosity, fun and learning. This class is an hour long and can be structured to be a little shorter or longer.

This is an opportunity to learn an easy practice that allows you to create positive change in your life. You will become aware of how your daily thinking creates your life. While becoming proficient at the remarkably simple and profound skill of self-hypnosis, you implement the next change you want in your life. Learning happens in a caring and supportive environment, where students share and grow from each other’s transformative experiences. This class either meets once for four hours or every week for an hour and a half, three weeks in a row.
